Bellamy Young

Young's acting career began in theater. In 1997 she had her Broadway debut in the role of Mary in the initial cast of The Life. Also, she appeared off-Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Rolled Along (1994) in addition to as in Randy Newman's Faust (from 1995 to 1996). She made her debut on television in 1995 when she landed her role as"Dr. Courtney Evans, NBC's daytime soap production Another World. In addition, she guest-starred in the show Law & Order in 1997 and 1998, playing two roles. She debuted in film in 1999 with a minor role in Black and White. In the following years she appeared in numerous independent films. From the mid-2000s onwards, she started appearing as guest-star parts on various comedy and drama shows on television, such as The Drew Carey Show, The X Files, ER, Frasier, The West Wing, NCIS, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Two and a Half Men, Supernatural, Drop Dead Diva, and Castle. From 2000 until in 2011, Young made over 30 guest appearances in television programs. As of 2003, Young became one of the regulars on Peacemakers, a USA Network show Peacemakers. After the show ran for nine episodes in a season, the series ended up being cancelled. She played the role of Deputy Dist. in the Lifetime show For the People. Atty. Agnes Hunt on NBC drama American Dreams in 2003 as Diane Shaw, Dr. Grace Miller on NBC Scrubs in 2004 as Monica West, Assistant State Attorney Monica West in CBS CSI: Miami in 2005 through 2006 and Ellen Darling on ABC soap Dirty Sexy Money in 2008-2009 as the son-in-law with the most eldest in the Darling Family.
